Business Fundamentals (formerly GMCA: mini-MBA) is an online series designed to provide graduate students and post-docs with an introduction to business concepts. At the end of the course, trainees will apply learned concepts to a business problem in a case competition judged by consultants and industry professionals!


GMCA: Business Fundamentals – Online Course

Lectures will be taught by industry professionals from diverse backgrounds. Below is a sample list of course topics (subject to change). Some lectures will feature a case analysis activity or discussion period which focuses on topics covered in the lecture.

Only successful applicants will be required to pay the registration fee. Please note, this is an immensely popular offering, and our waitlists are usually full. If you cannot attend 9/10 of the lectures, please consider taking the class the next time that it is offered. No late applications will be accepted. Spaces are limited and successful applicants will be notified through email by Tuesday, January 3rd, 2024.

GMCA: Business Fundamentals – Case Competition

At the end of GMCA: Business Fundamentals, trainees will apply concepts from the course to a business case in this case competition. This is a great opportunity for trainees to collaboratively tackle real-life business challenges and receive constructive feedback from judges who have successfully transitioned into the industry.

Please note: participation in the case competition is mandatory to receive a certificate of completion for the course.
