GMCA: Business Fundamentals (formerly GMCA mini-MBA) is a 10-week online course designed to provide graduate students and post-docs with an introduction to fundamental business concepts. Trainees will then apply concepts learned from the course directly to a business problem in a case competition judged by consultants and industry professionals!
Lectures will be taught by industry professionals from diverse backgrounds and cover concepts from the popular “The Ten-Day MBA” book by Steven Silbiger. This year, the curriculum of our Business Fundamentals program will cover the below topics and conclude with a case competition in the last day of the course.1. Case Analysis

At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to participate in a case competition, which will be judged by a panel of consultants.Please note, this is an immensely popular offering, and our waitlists are usually full. If you cannot attend 9/10 of the lectures, please consider taking the class the next time that it is offered. No late applications will be accepted. Business Fundamentals: Online Course
If you’re a graduate student or post-doctoral fellow interested in participating in our GMCA: Business Fundamentals online course, apply by December 18th, 2020 (11:59 PM)! Successful applicants will be notified through email by Saturday, January 2nd, 2020.
Each class is composed of the following:
- A lecture instructed by an industry professional;
- A case analysis or activity, which will utilize knowledge and techniques covered in the lecture;
- An open discussion of the different solutions for the case analysis or activity.

Business Fundamentals: Case Competition
Following the online course Trainees will have apply concepts learned from the Business Fundamentals: Online Course directly to a business case in a case competition.
This will be a great opportunity for trainees to collaboratively tackle real-life business challenges and receive constructive feedback from judges who have successfully transitioned into the industry.
